A Wizardess with Words

My story starts with a little girl who loved books. I’ve been reading and writing ever since I learned how! From a young age, I struggled to process the world around me, to fit in with my peers, and to understand my place in society and in God's kingdom. Books were my constant companions. And the stories within, or the stories I wrote, helped me answer my questions about myself, the world, and God. I believe we are God’s sub-creators, called to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to the world.

Thus, a book dragon was born! To this day, as in my childhood, you’re unlikely to find me without a book nearby. My favorites are fantasy, sci-fi, and mystery. I enjoy books in all formats and am thankful for the opportunity to read as my job.

Scribe

I know what it’s like to have others ridicule something I’ve written with all my heart and soul. Especially in an increasingly secular world, it’s easy for members of a workshop or critique group to miss the meaning of a Christian story. Our storytelling mirrors the ultimate story of God’s redemption of humanity through Jesus. My experience in writing stories and receiving negative, sometimes hostile, feedback has equipped me to treat your story with the care it deserves. I edit with a God-first approach and focus on instruction and improvement. Working with me means you have someone who is just as excited about your story as you are.

Off the Clock

Wordsmithing is hard work, so I enjoy my free time as well. Most of that time is spent with my mother, at church, reading for fun, or playing puzzle games. Sometimes life is a struggle as I live with a chronic illness and am a late-diagnosed autistic. Learning about my needs has allowed me to curate my editorial schedule and serve my clients well. I thank God for every author who enters my life. I look forward to working with you, too.
