Developmental Edit

You have finished your manuscript and done some self-editing and/or gotten feedback from early readers. Now, you're looking for a deep dive into the heart of your manuscript. I will provide comments in the manuscript about storytelling topics, and provide some in-text changes as examples. You will also receive an Author Letter with an overview of the main topics to address. I may also include other tools to aid your revisions.

Timeline: ~8 weeks

Cost: $17 per 1000 words

Alternatively, a Manuscript Critique may be an option. For $16 per 1000 words, you will receive the Author Letter and any additional notes, no comments or in-text corrections.

Line/Copy Edit

You're looking for a fresh pair of eyes on your manuscript. I will provide sentence-level corrections and suggestions based on The Chicago Manual of Style and The Christian Writer's Manual of Style (if applicable). I aim to maintain your authorial voice while tightening up the prose and curbing repetition. I may also provide additional notes to further aid your revisions.

Timeline: ~6 weeks
Cost: Line: $15 per 1000 words; Copy: $14 per 1000 words.

A Line Edit is a heavier hand. Both options include a free second round at the same level or a free proofread after your changes.

Proofreading

You have worked hard on your story, completed several rounds of editing, and your manuscript is almost ready! Now you'd like that last-minute check for any errors before you pursue publishing. I will check spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting. I may also include comments addressing clarity of ideas, repetition, and wordiness.

Timeline: ~2 weeks

Cost: $5 per 1000 words

Custom Packages

You want to customize your editing experience. Create your own package with multiple editing levels and any add-ons available. This package includes special discounted pricing to accommodate your needs.

Developmental Edits available for fiction only.

Timeline will be scheduled up front or as we go.
